Gillian Cordingley Ceramics
An example ceramic item

Gillian studied art, then majored in purely ceramics, at Bradford and Leeds. Gillian now continues further work with ceramics and enjoys creating unique pieces of art.
Gillian is very much influenced by nature, and the beauty of the area in which she lives. Many of her pieces an abstract of this natural beauty.
Several ceramic techniques are used while making Gillian's pieces. Throwing, handbuilding, pinching, solf and hard slab, and coil construction are all used. Gillian only occasionally uses slip-casting. Gillian loves to experiment with different glazes.
The typical time taken to produce one of these items can vary from three hours to several days. The effort expended can be seen in the intricacy of some of the pieces.
